Course Objectives:

- Control of Bleeding from an injured person
- Method of immobilizing a fracture using
splint sand ties
- Leading a group of rescuers in placing
an injured person on a spine board
- Techniques for bandaging using typical
first aid kit materials
Basic Marine Fire Fighting
- Proper donning of a fire fighter's outfit
(turnout gear)

(incipient) class A, B, and C fires

Hazardous / Safety Awareness Notice
29 CFR 1910.1200 (Hazardous Communication Standard) requires training and information on the hazards of the materials personnel may use when participating in this training. The Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are maintained by the training facilitator for all hazardous materials used/provided for this training course. MSDSs list the products by their common trade name or by manufacture name (one or both may appear on the product label). MSDSs contain the physical data for the product such as the product form, reactive characteristics, and material description as well as the precautions for safe handling of the product, such as recommended protective clothing and safe work environment conditions.
