Call toll free 800-944-1603 or order online. 2. Take an Elkins Training Company FCC Prep Class. 3. Choose Your Test Site & Contact Your Designated Examiner (Find your location by calling toll free 1-800-944-1603 or by e-mail: info@elkinstraining.com) or browse our new test locations at community colleges throughout the USA. 4. Coordinate a date and time with the Designated Examiner in your area, pay your fees and take the exam. GOOD LUCK ON THE EXAM! 5. Final Step: Your test will be graded on-site by your Designated Examiner. If you pass, you will receive an "Elkins Institute Congratulations Certificate" verifying that you have passed the exam(s). The Designated Examiner will then forward your test, applicable fees and your signed FCC From 605 (Application for Commercial Radio Operator License) to the Elkins Institute for further processing. Within 10 business days, you will receive a Proof of Passing Certificate (PPC) from the Elkins Institute, which serves as a temporary license good for 90 days from your test date. Your FCC Application will then be submitted electronically to the FCC and you should receive your final license within 2 weeks. Cost for Exams: $75 per 1-2 elements, with a minimum fee of $75 per exam session and $25 for each additional element per test session.
